A Different Kind of Read-a-thon
Last week, I joined the Teen Advisory Board at my local library. We meet once each month and discuss issues involving the library. We volunteer and help out at special events. I also volunteer weekly. Each year, our library helps sponsor the Teen Book Festival at Nazareth College. This year, to help raise money for the festival, we're participating in a Read-a-thon at Barnes and Noble. We get sponsors to pay us to read from 1pm to 5pm (certainly not a big challenge compared to the twenty-four hour read-a-thon) and then the money goes to the Teen Book Festival. I was wondering if any of you guys would sponsor me. It doesn't have to be a lot, just two or three dollars, maybe, and you certainly don't have to. But if you would like to, please comment. Thanks so much!

I would love to sponser. Say $5/hr. I can do that. What do I need to do?
Hey Annie! This sounds awesome :) Put me down for 5 bucks an hour too! More than happy to help. When you let Amanda know what she needs to do, let me know too ;)
I'd love to sponsor you for $5 an hour too! My only worry is how to get the money to you or to the festival people - can you donate online? If so, count me in! I won't wish you good luck because I know that reading from 1 to 5pm is nothing for you :P But it's awesome that you're doing this, Annie!
Oh how cool!! I'd love to help out. Er, since everyone's pledging $5 an hour, I don't mind either! (I spend much more on books anyway...) But, like Nymeth said, how do we get you the money after you're done your fabulous 5 hours of reading? Let us know!

Thank you all so much for your generous offers! It was so nice of everyone to do this for me! I'm really grateful. ;)

Annie, am I too late?? If not, I'd love to sponsor you as well. Put me down for $5 an hour like the others. And you know, our library was just finished being built and you've inspired me to drop by to see if there's something I can volunteer with.
Has this already happened? If I'm not too late, I'd love to sponsor you, too.
