Yet another reading challenge!

The Newbery Challenge is being hosted by Nattie Writes. This should be any easy one to complete!

Here's my list:

1. Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor
2. Ginger Pye by Eleanor Estes (re-read)
3. Julie of the Wolves by Jean Craighead George
4. Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O'Brien
5. The View from Saturday by E.L. Konigsburg
6. Sounder by William H. Armstron
7. Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech
8. The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo

If you want another one to add (I noticed that you had eight listed instead of six), I think you'd really like The Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell if you haven't already read it. I rediscovered it in that when I read it to my older son I realized I had read it as a child. It's a nice feeling ... sort of like running into an old friend you haven't seen in a while.

Thank you for joining the challenge. I love your list too. Eventually I am going to have to read ALL the newberry books.

I just signed up for the Newbery Challenge as well. I love your choices. I own just about all of them but have read none. But that's why I signed up for the challenge. =)
